BBC TinCan API
The BBC wished to investigate the possibilities of the new TinCan API, a.k.a. the Experience API. We were commissioned via BrightonArt Ltd to investigate, develop and integrate the API within an open source Drupal 7 module.
The solution required a Drupal installation which allowed them to manage their TinCan 'verbs', 'activities' and 'subject' context groups, and also included a linked freetag taxonomy.
The module exposed LRS configuration options, a statement maker, bulk statement generation and the retrieving and displaying of stored statements. It was deployed with an example usage based on integration with an iWonder page and using 3 custom statement extensions.
